Lace up, wear white, and get ready to run through clouds of of color. Every lap our kids run raises real money for our school. Messy? Absolutely. Worth it? You bet.

What should my child wear?
A shirt will be provided for your child. Please make sure they have a good pair of running shoes and a water bottle, and eat a good breakfast the morning of Color Fun Run.
What is the schedule?
September 25, 2026
● TK & Kindergarten: 1:10–1:30 PM
● 1st–5th Grade: 2:10–2:40 PM
Times are approximate and may vary slightly. Please arrive early to check in through the front office beforehand!
Will there be lemonade?
Pink Pony Lemonade will be back, generously donated by Grounded Coffee Livermore, and available for purchase. Make sure to pack extra water for your runners!
Is the color powder safe for kids?
Yes. We use non-toxic, food-grade cornstarch color powder. It’s washable and skin-safe. If your child has respiratory concerns, a light face covering during the color stations is a great idea.
Will there be color for sale?
Color powder will be available for CASH purchase:
● $5 — 8 oz bottle
● $1 — cup of powder
Please only throw color at your child. Please do not throw directly in a child’s face.
Can I still donate?
Yes, donations are welcomed through the event. Don’t forget to request a match from your company! 🌈 THANK YOU for helping us make the Color Fun Run safe, fun, and memorable for all our students! 🌈
What does the money support?
Every dollar stays at Rancho Las Positas: classroom supplies, field trips, art and science programs, and amazing Rancho events like Movie Night, Glow Dance, Trunk or Treat, and more.

Can I take pictures?
Please feel free to take pictures, but do not post any runner’s face to social media platforms without permission from the child’s parent.
Can parents run too?
Only approved PTA volunteers may be on the track and throw color powder. All visitors must check in through the office. Register to volunteer and get involved!
Will there be merch available for sale?
Yes! Our new “Boom Boom” Rancho t-shirts will be available for purchase and all sizes have been restocked. Cards, Apple Pay and cash accepted.
What happens after the event?
Once the event is over, please do not leave directly from the Color Fun Run with your child. Students must return to their classroom and be excused by their teacher before leaving school.
This year’s goal: $55,000!
